Although I didn't get to your the inside because it had closed before I arrived, I give it 5-stars simply based on having such a unique historical site in the middle of nowhere. As I was leaving, a young couple of color was exploring the grounds and the monument. What a statement about where we are now versus the struggles of equality from the time in which the monument represents.

Loved it, defiantly glade we were able to come on a day the Monument was open to see the inside. True piece of history! Not to mention great staff, large picnic area, and nice size playground area!!

I've been to the Jefferson Davis Historic Site many times, but this was the first time I've been since the confederate battle flag controversy. I was pleased to see that the Bonnie Blue flag was flying here. This is a nice site for a picnic and the museum is small but very informative. I love history, and I enjoy visiting historic places.

Historic site. Slow elevator ride to the top. Small windows. But excellent long distance views

I'mma be honest. I was scared for my life. Nobody told me we were watching the eclipse at a monument to the confederacy a week after people got killed at one of these! Everybody behaved though. No clouds the whole eclipse. You gotta see a total eclipse for yourself.
